REQUEST ACCOUNT DELETION

If you would like to delete your Recovery Compass account and all associated data, you have two options:

Option 1: Delete from the App (Recommended)

The fastest way to delete your account is directly within the Recovery Compass app:

1. Open the Recovery Compass app
2. Go to Profile tab (bottom right)
3. Tap Privacy & Security
4. Tap Delete Account
5. Follow the confirmation steps (enter email, password, type "DELETE")
6. Your account and data will be permanently deleted

Option 2: Request via Email

If you no longer have access to the app or prefer to request deletion via email, you can contact us directly:

Please include the email address associated with your Recovery Compass account in your request. We will verify your identity and process your request within 7 business days.

WHAT GETS DELETED

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:

• Your profile information and account settings
• Daily check-ins, reflections, and journal entries
• Goals, milestones, and progress tracking data
• Messages exchanged with your coach
• All uploaded photos and files
• Habit tracking and streak data
• Savings goals and financial tracking data
• Community posts and interactions
• Notification history and preferences
• Meeting attendance logs and saved meetings

DATA RETENTION POLICY

After you request account deletion:

• Immediate: Your account is deactivated and you lose access
• Within 30 days: All personal data is permanently deleted from our systems
• Backup data: May be retained in encrypted backups for up to 30 additional days for disaster recovery purposes, then permanently purged

Some anonymized, aggregate data may be retained for security, fraud prevention, and compliance purposes. This data cannot be used to identify you.
