This Health and Legal Disclaimer ("Disclaimer") constitutes a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and Guiding Light Recovery Services, LLC, a California limited liability company ("GLRS," "Company," "we," "us," or "our"), governing your access to and use of the Recovery Compass mobile application ("App") and all related services, features, content, and functionalities provided thereunder.

BY DOWNLOADING, INSTALLING, ACCESSING, OR USING THE RECOVERY COMPASS APPLICATION, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD, AND AGREE TO BE LEGALLY BOUND BY THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS SET FORTH IN THIS DISCLAIMER. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THESE TERMS, DO NOT DOWNLOAD, ACCESS, OR USE THE APPLICATION.

Section 1: Nature and Scope of Services

1.1 Description of Recovery Compass

Recovery Compass is a non-clinical peer support and personal wellness tracking platform designed to assist individuals in their personal recovery journey. The Application provides the following features and functionalities:

Personal Tracking and Monitoring Features:

Daily wellness check-ins with mood, craving, anxiety, and sleep assessments

Goal setting, tracking, and milestone documentation

Habit formation and tracking tools

Gratitude journaling and personal reflection logging

Recovery milestone tracking and celebration features

Progress visualization and trend analysis

Recovery Support Features:

Sobriety date tracking and milestone counters

Integration with third-party recovery meeting directories (including but not limited to Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, Crystal Meth Anonymous, Recovery Dharma, and SMART Recovery)

Communication portal for peer support correspondence with assigned recovery coaches

Access to curated educational resources and self-reflection materials

Crisis resource information and emergency contact accessibility

1.2 Express Limitations of Services

Recovery Compass is expressly NOT, and shall not be construed as, any of the following:

A medical device as defined by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) or any comparable regulatory authority

A healthcare provider, healthcare facility, or clinical treatment program

A substitute for professional medical advice, clinical diagnosis, or medical treatment

A substitute for professional mental health counseling, psychotherapy, or psychiatric services

A substitute for licensed addiction treatment, substance use disorder treatment, or clinical intervention

An emergency services provider or crisis intervention service

A HIPAA-covered entity or business associate as defined under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996

A licensed clinical, therapeutic, or medical platform of any kind


Section 2: Medical and Health Disclaimer

2.1 No Medical Advice

THE INFORMATION, CONTENT, FEATURES, TOOLS, AND SERVICES PROVIDED THROUGH RECOVERY COMPASS ARE INTENDED FOR GENERAL INFORMATIONAL, EDUCATIONAL, AND PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT PURPOSES ONLY. NOTHING CONTAINED IN THIS APPLICATION CONSTITUTES, IS INTENDED TO CONSTITUTE, OR SHOULD BE CONSTRUED AS PROFESSIONAL MEDICAL ADVICE, CLINICAL DIAGNOSIS, MEDICAL TREATMENT, OR PROFESSIONAL HEALTHCARE SERVICES OF ANY KIND.

The Company does not provide medical advice, professional clinical counseling, psychiatric services, psychological services, psychotherapy, licensed addiction treatment, or any other licensed healthcare services. No information provided through the Application—whether through the user interface, from recovery coaches, through educational content, or from any other source connected to our services—shall be considered medical advice, clinical guidance, or a basis for medical decision-making.

2.2 Consultation with Healthcare Professionals

YOU ARE STRONGLY ADVISED AND ENCOURAGED TO:

Always seek the advice of your physician, psychiatrist, licensed therapist, licensed clinical social worker, certified addiction counselor, or other qualified healthcare provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition, mental health condition, or substance use disorder

Never disregard, avoid, or delay seeking professional medical advice because of information you have read, received, or experienced through Recovery Compass

Never rely solely on the Application for decisions regarding your health, mental health, recovery, or overall wellbeing

Consult with qualified healthcare professionals before making any changes to your treatment plan, medication regimen, recovery program, or healthcare decisions

Maintain ongoing relationships with licensed healthcare providers appropriate to your individual needs

2.3 Prohibition on Medical Inquiries

GLRS personnel, including but not limited to recovery coaches, administrative staff, and support personnel, are not authorized to and will not answer medical questions. The Company does not provide medical opinions, clinical assessments, diagnostic evaluations, or treatment recommendations under any circumstances. All medical questions and concerns must be directed to appropriately licensed healthcare providers.

2.4 Assumption of Health-Related Risk

You expressly acknowledge and agree that your use of any health-related features, wellness tracking tools, or informational content within the Application is undertaken entirely at your own risk. The Company makes no representations, warranties, or guarantees regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or suitability of any health-related information for your particular circumstances.


Section 3: Non-Clinical Peer Support Services

3.1 Definition and Scope of Peer Support

Guiding Light Recovery Services provides non-clinical peer support services as defined by applicable California law and industry standards. Non-clinical peer support is fundamentally distinct from clinical treatment and is characterized by the following:

Services are provided by individuals with personal lived experience in recovery, not by licensed clinical professionals

The relationship is peer-based, not therapeutic or clinical in nature

Services focus on support, encouragement, and shared experience rather than diagnosis, treatment, or clinical intervention

Peer support complements but does not replace professional clinical care

3.2 Recovery Coach Qualifications and Limitations

GLRS recovery coaches are NOT licensed therapists, counselors, psychologists, psychiatrists, physicians, nurses, clinical social workers, marriage and family therapists, or any other category of licensed healthcare professional.

Recovery coaches are individuals with personal lived experience in recovery who have completed peer support training. Their role is strictly limited to:

Sharing personal recovery experience and perspective

Providing encouragement, support, and accountability

Assisting with navigation of Application features and resources

Facilitating connection to community resources and recovery meetings

Supporting goal-setting and progress tracking

Offering a supportive, non-judgmental listening presence

Recovery coaches are expressly prohibited from and do not:

Diagnose medical, mental health, or substance use conditions

Prescribe, recommend, or advise regarding medications

Provide clinical counseling, psychotherapy, or therapeutic intervention

Develop clinical treatment plans or case formulations

Offer professional medical, legal, financial, or other licensed professional advice

Serve as a substitute for licensed professionals in any capacity

Provide crisis intervention or emergency response services

3.3 California Peer Support Standards

GLRS operates in accordance with California's peer support guidelines and standards, including but not limited to frameworks established under Senate Bill 803 and subsequent regulatory guidance. Notwithstanding any certification or training standards applicable to peer support specialists, peer support remains a non-clinical service designed to complement—never to replace—professional clinical treatment and licensed healthcare services.


Section 4: Emergency and Crisis Protocols

4.1 Critical Emergency Warning

IF YOU ARE EXPERIENCING A MEDICAL EMERGENCY, PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, MENTAL HEALTH CRISIS, SUICIDAL IDEATION, THOUGHTS OF SELF-HARM, THOUGHTS OF HARMING OTHERS, OR ARE OTHERWISE IN IMMEDIATE DANGER:

CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY

RECOVERY COMPASS DOES NOT PROVIDE EMERGENCY SERVICES, CRISIS INTERVENTION, OR REAL-TIME EMERGENCY RESPONSE OF ANY KIND.

4.2 Limitations of Application in Emergency Situations

The Application is not designed, equipped, intended, or capable of handling emergency situations. The Company expressly cannot and does not:

Dispatch emergency responders or first responders

Provide real-time crisis intervention or de-escalation services

Monitor your location, safety, or wellbeing

Respond to life-threatening situations in real-time

Guarantee delivery or receipt of any communications

Serve as a substitute for emergency services

You must not rely on the Application in any emergency situation. Any delay in seeking emergency services while attempting to use the Application could result in serious injury or death.

California Good Samaritan Law Notice: Under California Health and Safety Code Section 11376.5, individuals who seek medical assistance for a person experiencing an overdose, or who are themselves experiencing an overdose, may be immune from prosecution for possession of controlled substances. Do not let fear of legal consequences prevent you from seeking emergency medical care.

5.1 Complementary Nature of Services

Recovery Compass and GLRS services are designed to complement, not replace, professional treatment and clinical care. The Application and associated services should be used alongside—never instead of—appropriate professional services, including but not limited to:

Licensed addiction counseling and substance use disorder treatment

Medically supervised detoxification programs

Inpatient and outpatient treatment programs

Mental health therapy, counseling, and psychotherapy

Psychiatric evaluation, treatment, and medication management

Medical supervision for substance use disorders

Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) programs

Group therapy programs facilitated by licensed professionals

Case management services provided by licensed professionals

5.2 Conditions Requiring Professional Care

Recovery Compass is not appropriate as a sole intervention or primary support for individuals who:

Are experiencing active withdrawal from alcohol, benzodiazepines, opioids, or other substances with potentially dangerous withdrawal syndromes

Require medical supervision for detoxification or withdrawal management

Have co-occurring mental health conditions requiring clinical treatment

Are experiencing active psychosis, severe depression, or acute mental illness

Have eating disorders requiring clinical intervention

Require or are receiving medication-assisted treatment (MAT)

Need crisis intervention, psychiatric stabilization, or acute care

Have been advised by healthcare providers to seek clinical treatment

If any of these conditions apply to you, please seek immediate professional care from qualified, licensed healthcare providers. The Application is not a substitute for such care under any circumstances.


Section 6: Self-Assessment Tools and Educational Content

6.1 Educational Purpose Limitation

Recovery Compass may include self-assessment questionnaires, quizzes, educational materials, and informational content. These tools and materials are provided strictly for educational and self-reflection purposes only and are subject to the following limitations:

Self-assessment tools are not validated clinical diagnostic instruments

Self-assessment tools are not medical or psychological screening tools

Self-assessment results cannot and do not diagnose addiction, substance use disorders, mental health conditions, or any other medical or psychological condition

Educational content is general information only and may not be applicable to your specific circumstances

No tool or content within the Application should be used for self-diagnosis

6.2 Professional Evaluation Requirement

If any self-assessment results cause concern, suggest potential issues, or prompt questions about your health or wellbeing, you should:

Contact a licensed healthcare provider for proper clinical evaluation

Consult with your physician, psychiatrist, or mental health professional

Contact SAMHSA's National Helpline at 1-800-662-4357 for treatment referrals

Discuss your concerns with a qualified, licensed addiction specialist or mental health professional


Section 7: Data Collection, Privacy, and Security

7.1 Information Collection Practices

Recovery Compass collects personal information necessary to provide its services. Categories of information collected may include:

Account and Profile Information:

Email address, name, and encrypted password credentials

Recovery start date and recovery program affiliations

Emergency contact information (if voluntarily provided)

Profile preferences and settings

Wellness and Recovery Data:

Daily check-in responses including mood, craving, anxiety, and sleep assessments (numerical ratings)

Personal reflection entries and gratitude journal entries

Goals, habits, milestones, and progress tracking data

Recovery journey documentation

Usage and Technical Data:

Application usage patterns and feature interactions

Device information and technical identifiers

Error logs and diagnostic information

Communication Data:

Messages exchanged between users and recovery coaches

Support communications

7.2 Sensitive Health Information Notice

Certain information you provide through the Application may constitute sensitive health information. While GLRS is not a HIPAA-covered entity (as the Company is not a healthcare provider, health plan, or healthcare clearinghouse as defined under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 and its implementing regulations), the Company is committed to protecting your information through appropriate administrative, technical, and physical safeguards.

7.3 Data Security Measures

The Company implements industry-standard security measures designed to protect your information, including but not limited to:

Regular security assessments and vulnerability testing

NOTWITHSTANDING THE FOREGOING, NO METHOD OF ELECTRONIC TRANSMISSION OR STORAGE IS COMPLETELY SECURE. While the Company strives to protect your personal information using commercially reasonable measures, we cannot guarantee absolute security and expressly disclaim any such guarantee.


Section 8: Third-Party Meeting Data and Integrations

8.1 Third-Party Meeting Information

Recovery Compass integrates meeting information obtained from third-party sources, including but not limited to:

Alcoholics Anonymous (AA): Meeting data aggregated from regional intergroups including San Francisco/Marin Intergroup, East Bay Intergroup, Santa Clara County Intergroup, Santa Cruz County Intergroup, and San Mateo County Intergroup

Narcotics Anonymous (NA): Meeting data obtained via the Basic Meeting List Toolbox (BMLT) and regional service structures

Crystal Meth Anonymous (CMA): Meeting data from CMA service bodies

Recovery Dharma: Meeting data from Recovery Dharma organizational sources

SMART Recovery: Meeting data from SMART Recovery organizational sources

Other Fellowships: Meeting data from additional recovery fellowships as available

8.2 Third-Party Disclaimer

GLRS does not control, operate, verify, endorse, or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or reliability of meeting information provided by third-party organizations. Meeting times, locations, formats (in-person, online, hybrid), and availability are subject to change without notice and may not be accurately reflected in the Application.

The Company strongly recommends:

Verifying all meeting information directly with the hosting organization or local intergroup before attending

Arriving early to meetings to confirm details and accommodate any changes

Understanding that online meeting links, access codes, and passwords may change without notice

Contacting local intergroups or central offices for the most current and accurate meeting information

8.3 Non-Affiliation Statement

GLRS is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or a representative of Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, Crystal Meth Anonymous, Recovery Dharma, SMART Recovery, or any other recovery fellowship, 12-step organization, or mutual aid society. The inclusion of meeting information in the Application does not constitute endorsement of or by these organizations.


Section 9: Third-Party Integrations and External Services

9.1 Google Calendar Integration

Recovery Compass offers optional integration with Google Calendar to facilitate tracking of meetings and recovery milestones. By enabling this integration:

You authorize GLRS to access your Google Calendar for the purpose of creating calendar events

Your calendar data remains subject to Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy

You may disconnect this integration at any time through your profile settings

This integration is entirely optional and not required for use of the Application

9.2 Third-Party Websites and Resources

The Application may contain links, references, or connections to third-party websites, applications, resources, or services not owned or controlled by GLRS. The Company:

Does not control the content, privacy practices, or operations of third-party sites

Does not endorse, guarantee, or assume responsibility for third-party content

Is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or legality of third-party resources

Shall not be liable for any damages or losses arising from your use of third-party sites or resources

You are encouraged to review the terms of service and privacy policies of any third-party websites or services you access through or in connection with the Application.


Section 10: User Responsibilities and Assumption of Risk

10.1 User Responsibilities

By accessing and using Recovery Compass, you acknowledge, represent, and agree that:

You are solely responsible for your own recovery decisions, actions, and outcomes

You will not rely solely on the Application for recovery support, healthcare decisions, or crisis intervention

You will establish and maintain relationships with qualified, licensed healthcare providers appropriate to your needs

You will seek immediate professional assistance when clinically indicated or in emergency situations

All information you provide through the Application is accurate, complete, and current

You will use the Application responsibly and in accordance with all applicable terms, policies, and laws

You will comply with this Disclaimer, the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and all applicable laws and regulations

10.2 Voluntary Assumption of Risk

You expressly understand, acknowledge, and voluntarily assume that:

Recovery from substance use disorders and other conditions is a personal journey with inherent risks, challenges, and uncertainties

No application, technology, tool, or peer support service can guarantee successful recovery outcomes

Relapse, setbacks, and challenges are possible even with support, and such occurrences do not constitute failure of the Application or services

Your use of the Application is entirely at your own risk

The Company cannot control, predict, or guarantee outcomes related to your recovery journey

Results vary significantly between individuals based on numerous factors beyond the Company's control


Section 11: Disclaimers of Warranties

11.1 "As Is" and "As Available" Disclaimer

THE APPLICATION AND ALL CONTENT, FEATURES, FUNCTIONALITIES, AND SERVICES PROVIDED THROUGH RECOVERY COMPASS ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY.

11.2 Specific Warranty Disclaimers

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, GLRS EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

Implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose

Implied warranties of title and non-infringement

Warranties that the Application will meet your specific requirements or expectations

Warranties that the Application will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free

Warranties that results obtained from use of the Application will be accurate, reliable, or complete

Warranties that defects or errors in the Application will be corrected

Warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or currency of any information, content, or data

Any warranties arising from course of dealing, course of performance, or usage of trade

11.3 No Warranty of Results

THE COMPANY MAKES NO WARRANTY, REPRESENTATION, OR GUARANTEE REGARDING THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE APPLICATION FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO RECOVERY FROM SUBSTANCE USE DISORDERS, MAINTENANCE OF SOBRIETY, OR ACHIEVEMENT OF ANY HEALTH OR WELLNESS GOALS.


Section 12: Limitation of Liability

12.1 Exclusion of Certain Damages

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL GLRS, ITS PARENT COMPANIES, SUBSIDIARIES, AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, MEMBERS, MANAGERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, PARTNERS, CONTRACTORS, SUPPLIERS, LICENSORS, OR SERVICE PROVIDERS (COLLECTIVELY, "COMPANY PARTIES") BE LIABLE FOR ANY OF THE FOLLOWING:

Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages of any kind

Loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill, or anticipated savings

Loss of data, use, or other intangible losses

Personal injury or property damage arising from your access to or use of the Application

Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers or any personal information stored therein

Any interruption or cessation of transmission to or from the Application

Any bugs, viruses, trojan horses, or similar harmful code transmitted through the Application

Any errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in any content or for any loss or damage incurred as a result of the use of any content posted, transmitted, or otherwise made available through the Application

The conduct of any third party on or related to the Application

12.2 Applicability of Limitations

THE FOREGOING LIMITATIONS SHALL APPLY:

Regardless of whether the damages were foreseeable

Regardless of whether GLRS was advised of or should have known of the possibility of such damages

Regardless of the legal or equitable theory upon which the claim is based, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, breach of warranty, or otherwise

Even if any limited remedy provided herein fails of its essential purpose

12.3 Maximum Aggregate Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL THE TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY OF ALL COMPANY PARTIES TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF THE APPLICATION, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT, OR OTHERWISE, EXCEED THE GREATER OF:

(a) The total amount actually paid by you to GLRS for use of the Application during the twelve (12) month period immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim; or

(b) One Hundred United States Dollars ($100.00 USD)

12.4 Jurisdictional Limitations

SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN WARRANTIES OR THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF LIABILITY FOR CERTAIN DAMAGES. In such jurisdictions, the liability of the Company Parties shall be limited to the greatest extent permitted by applicable law.

12.5 Essential Basis of the Bargain

YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT THE DISCLAIMERS, EXCLUSIONS, AND LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY SET FORTH HEREIN FORM AN ESSENTIAL BASIS OF THE BARGAIN BETWEEN YOU AND GLRS, AND THAT GLRS WOULD NOT PROVIDE THE APPLICATION TO YOU ABSENT SUCH LIMITATIONS.


Section 13: Indemnification

13.1 Indemnification Obligations

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless GLRS and all Company Parties from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, suits, proceedings, losses, damages, liabilities, judgments, settlements, penalties, fines, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees and expert witness fees) arising out of or relating to:

Your access to or use of the Application

Your violation of this Disclaimer, the Terms of Service, or any other applicable terms or policies

Your violation of any applicable law, regulation, or ordinance

Your violation or infringement of any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or publicity rights

Any content, data, or information you submit, post, or transmit through the Application

Your negligent, reckless, or intentional misconduct

Any dispute between you and any third party arising from your use of the Application

13.2 Reservation of Rights

GLRS reserves the right, at its own expense, to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification by you, and in such case, you agree to cooperate fully with GLRS in asserting any available defenses.


Section 14: Accuracy of Information

14.1 No Guarantee of Accuracy

While GLRS endeavors to provide accurate, current, and reliable information through the Application, the Company makes no representations, warranties, or guarantees regarding:

The accuracy, completeness, currency, or reliability of any information, content, or data in the Application

The reliability, accuracy, or applicability of any advice, opinion, statement, or other information provided through the Application

The suitability, appropriateness, or applicability of information for your particular circumstances, needs, or situation

14.2 Information Changes

Information, content, features, and functionalities within the Application may be modified, updated, or removed at any time without prior notice. The Company reserves the right to modify, update, correct, or remove content at its sole discretion.

14.3 Reliance on Information

Any reliance you place on information provided through the Application is strictly at your own risk. You should verify critical information through independent sources and consult with appropriate professionals before making decisions based on information obtained through the Application.


Section 15: Modifications to Services and Disclaimer

15.1 Right to Modify

GLRS reserves the right, at its sole discretion and at any time, to:

Modify, suspend, discontinue, or terminate any aspect, feature, or functionality of the Application, temporarily or permanently

Modify, amend, or update this Disclaimer

Introduce new features, functionalities, or services, or remove existing features, functionalities, or services

Modify fee structures, pricing, or subscription terms (with appropriate notice)

15.2 Notice of Material Changes

When we make material changes to this Disclaimer, we will:

Update the "Effective Date" and "Last Updated" date at the top of this document

Provide notice through the Application interface, via email to registered users, or through other reasonable means

For significant changes affecting your rights or obligations, we may require your affirmative acceptance before you may continue using the Application

15.3 Continued Use Constitutes Acceptance

Your continued access to or use of the Application following the posting of any modifications to this Disclaimer constitutes your acknowledgment of the modifications and your consent to be bound by the modified Disclaimer.


Section 16: Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

16.1 Governing Law

This Disclaimer and any dispute arising out of or relating to this Disclaimer or your use of the Application shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States of America, without regard to its conflict of law principles or provisions.

16.2 Dispute Resolution Process

Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to this Disclaimer or your use of the Application shall be resolved through the following process:

(a) Informal Negotiation: The parties shall first attempt to resolve any dispute through good faith informal negotiation for a period of not less than thirty (30) days from the date written notice of the dispute is provided.

(b) Mediation: If informal negotiation is unsuccessful, the parties agree to attempt to resolve the dispute through non-binding mediation administered by a mutually agreed-upon mediator in Alameda County, California.

(c) Binding Arbitration: If mediation is unsuccessful, any remaining dispute shall be resolved by final and binding arbitration administered by JAMS (Judicial Arbitration and Mediation Services) in accordance with its Comprehensive Arbitration Rules and Procedures, conducted in Alameda County, California.

16.3 Class Action Waiver

YOU AND GLRS AGREE THAT ANY DISPUTE RESOLUTION PROCEEDINGS, WHETHER IN ARBITRATION, COURT, OR OTHERWISE, WILL BE CONDUCTED ONLY ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS AND NOT IN A CLASS, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION. You expressly waive any right to participate in any class action lawsuit, class-wide arbitration, or any other representative proceeding against GLRS.

16.4 Jury Trial Waiver

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, YOU AND GLRS EACH WAIVE THE RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL IN ANY LEGAL PROCEEDING ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THIS DISCLAIMER OR YOUR USE OF THE APPLICATION.


Section 17: Age Requirements and Eligibility

17.1 Minimum Age Requirement

Recovery Compass is intended for use by adults aged eighteen (18) years or older. By accessing or using the Application, you represent and warrant that:

You are at least eighteen (18) years of age

You have reached the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction of residence

You have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements

If you are using the Application on behalf of a minor, you are the parent or legal guardian of such minor and assume full responsibility for the minor's use

17.2 Children's Privacy

The Company does not knowingly collect, solicit, or maintain personal information from individuals under eighteen (18) years of age. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from an individual under 18, we will take prompt steps to delete such information from our systems.

17.3 Parental/Guardian Notification

If you are a parent or legal guardian and believe that your child under 18 has provided personal information to us, please contact us immediately at privacy@glrecoveryservices.com so that we may take appropriate action.

Section 19: Acknowledgment and Acceptance

BY DOWNLOADING, INSTALLING, ACCESSING, OR USING RECOVERY COMPASS, YOU EXPRESSLY ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT:

You have read this Disclaimer in its entirety and understand its terms and conditions

You voluntarily agree to be legally bound by all terms and conditions set forth herein

You understand that Recovery Compass provides non-clinical peer support services, not professional medical treatment, clinical counseling, or licensed healthcare services

You will seek appropriate professional care from qualified, licensed healthcare providers for all medical and mental health needs

You accept sole responsibility for your recovery decisions, actions, and outcomes

You voluntarily assume all risks associated with your use of the Application

You release and discharge the Company Parties from liability as described herein

You have the legal capacity and authority to enter into this binding agreement


Section 20: Severability

If any provision of this Disclaimer is found by a court or arbitrator of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal, void, or unenforceable, such provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid, legal, and enforceable, or if modification is not possible, such provision shall be severed from this Disclaimer. The invalidity, illegality, or unenforceability of any provision shall not affect the validity, legality, or enforceability of any other provision, and this Disclaimer shall be construed as if such invalid, illegal, or unenforceable provision had never been contained herein.

The failure of GLRS to enforce any provision of this Disclaimer shall not constitute a waiver of such provision or of the right to enforce such provision at a later time. No waiver of any provision shall be effective unless made in writing and signed by an authorized representative of GLRS.
